Manpreet Singh, Rani Rampal Nominated For Hockey India Player Of The Year Award

Hockey captains Manpreet Singh and Rani Rampal had been on Tuesday nominated for Dhruv Batra Participant of the Year award in male and female category respectively by Hockey India for its third Once-a-year Awards scheduled on March 8. A total prize cash of Rs one.30 crore together with trophies will be awarded to hockey stars as the countrywide federation on Tuesday unveiled the list of nominations for the awards, presented in recognition of excellence in overall performance for the yr 2019 and over-all contribution to the sport.

Manpreet, who turned the initial Indian to gain the FIH Finest Participant of the Year award earlier this month, was nominated for guiding the staff to Tokyo Olympic berth.

He was named along with Harmanpreet Singh, Mandeep Singh and Surender Kumar for the award which carries a prize cash of Rs 25 lakh.
