ORANGE, Calif. – Junior pitcher Nick Garcia closed out the year with some national recognition for his do the job on the mound. Garcia was named the D3baseball.com Workforce of the Week.

The suitable-hander from San Carlos, Calif., tossed five scoreless innings in what turned out to be the closing begin of the year and quite possibly his occupation at Chapman. He struck out 9 more than all those five innings and authorized just just one infield single.

Garcia finished the year rated 18th in the country with 36 strikeouts and was just one of just fifteen pitchers in Division III to get to four wins in advance of the surprising close of the year.

Garcia joined classmate Henry Zeisler in earning the national recognition from D3baseball.com this year. Zeisler acquired the award earlier in the year right after going on a tear to begin the year.
